Introduction
Uganda Society for Health Scientists (USHS) is a research society, registered as an NGO. It was started in 1999 by a cadre of health scientists trained through various programmes.

Vision
To be a nationally recognized leader in promoting scientific research for better health. USHS is a research society whose mission is to play a leading role in improving the health of Ugandans through advancing knowledge and seeking scientific discoveries and inventions. The Society is committed to creating an enabling environment for scientific research geared towards prevention and treatment of conditions and diseases that affect Ugandans and indeed, individuals through out Africa. Such diseases include HIV/AIDS, malaria, maternal and child health conditions.

MANUSCRIPT WRITING WORKSHOP

Have you submitted abstracts for conferences and they are not short listed for oral or poster presentation?

Have you written manuscripts and they have not been published due to one reason or another?

Here is an opportunity for you to learn or polish your writing skills in order to have publishable manuscripts or accepted abstracts


USHS is organising a Manuscript writing skills workshop scheduled on the 25th to 27th August 2010.

Registration Requirements.

At least a bachelor’s degree with a draft manuscript following this order (Title, Abstract, Introduction, Methodology and Results).

Registration Fees is free to paid up society members and 100,000= for non- society members.

Deadline for registration is 13th August 2010 at 5:00pm.
